Shrimp
(Litopenaeus vannamei)
The globally important whiteleg shrimp or Pacific white shrimp, Litopenaeus vannamei, is an aquaculture species that would benefit substantially from integration of genomic selection into traditional breeding programs, particularly for disease resistance and low heritability traits. Utilizing our advanced GBTS technology, we have developed a range of ready-to-use shrimp panels with varying marker densities (55k-10K-1K). These panels are great tools for genome selection to improve breeding efficiency of disease resistance and select high-quality varieties of Litopenaeus vannamei.
In addition to our extensive portfolio of genotyping products, we offer bespoke services tailored to your specific needs. By providing your unique Marker List, we can swiftly design cost-effective liquid-phase panels, ranging from low to high density, that align with your research or breeding objectives.
Elevate your breeding programs with our innovative shrimp panels, designed to support your pursuit of excellence in shrimp variety development.

GenoBaits® Litopenaeus Vannamei 55K Panel
In this panel, total 53,128 SNP sites were targeted, including 3,086 functional sites, such as ammonia tolerance, VpAHPND resistance, WSSV resistance, feed conversion efficiency, harvest weight, etc.
This panel has been validated in different mapping populations and can be used for research work such as analysis of genetic structure and genetic diversity.
